The hot question everyone is asking is, “How do I implement ‘The Secret’ into my life?”  With the Global success of the movie and the book, “The Secret”, it’s no wonder that people are asking that question.  Not to worry though, Jack Canfield, Bob Proctor and Rev. Michael Beckwith (3 of the Official Teachers from the movie, “The Secret”) have created a home study seminar program for the purpose of teaching people how to do just that.  It’s very exciting and people all over the world are jumping on the bandwagon.  For more information, check out:  www.OfficialTrainingOnTheSecret.com

How do I maintain balance in my life? March 5, 2007

This is a huge question for us to ponder.   With the pace of life we lead today, it’s very difficult to have balance in our lives.  We have so many stressors today, both internal and external stressors – financial, work, relationships, health, weight, fitness, nutrition, etc.

I’d love to get your opinion, would you take the BalanceGuide survey?  Just click on the “Know Your Balance Type” section at:  www.thebalancecompany.com/peakperformance .  It will show you the results of your personal Balance Type and help you understand the things that are either enhancing or depleting your level of Balance each day.

Personally, when I am trying to stay in Balance, I have to break it down into some foundational areas – starting with nutrition for example.  What I’ve found is if you are not getting the nutrition your body needs to sustain itself, then it definitely can’t function properly to assist you in handling the other stresses you face each day.

Having a simple plan in place to maintain Balance is critical – nourish the body, create a state of mind that supports your goals, be sure that fitness is a part of each day, and allow you body to renew itself.

Take the survey to see how balanced you are:  www.thebalancecompany.com/peakperformance

Exercise/Eating and the question is: How do I keep the weight off over the Holidays? December 5, 2006

That’s a good question.  Between all the parties and the stress of the Holidays, along with not enough time to go to the gym, it’s very difficult to keep from adding some extra pounds over the Holidays.   And then the follow up question is, How do I get the weight off after the Holidays?   Unless we put tape over our mouths to keep from eating all the goodies, we are bound to gain some weight, but having an exercise routine that is easy to fit into even the most demanding of schedules will help keep it to a minimum.

I have had great success with a 15 minute routine that I do every morning to kick start my day.  It’s from National Fitness Expert, Teresa Tapp - I do the T-Tapp Basic Workout Plus which is easy to do and doesn’t involve any equipment.  Her techniques put you in the optimum positions for cutting off the inches - it’s like resculpting your body.  I was amazed when I tried her workout system a year ago at how many inches I lost - the rolls on my back (2″ gone) and the fat on my inner thighs went away - 3″ off the upper thighs alone.  I even lost an inch from my knees!  Needless to say I was delighted with the results.  You can find more info about it at:  http://www.t-tapp.com/store/shopaff.asp?affid=1012

But you do have to keep doing the exercises and stay on a maintenance plan.  I got lazy earlier this year and stopped doing them - guess what?  The inches started coming back - I looked in the mirror one day and there they were.  So I immediately got back on the plan and started doing the 15 minute basic workout again every morning.  I’m delighted to say that the rolls on the back are gone again and the fat on the inner thighs is almost gone.  It’s so exciting to see it work.  I would never have believed that a 15 minute workout could do anything, until I experienced the results myself.

So enjoy your Holidays and just take 15 minutes a day to keep things under control and watch the inches disappear!  http://www.t-tapp.com/store/shopaff.asp?affid=1012

The Holidays are upon us and the question is: How do we stay out of stress? November 22, 2006

That’s a great question, since our workload just doubled - with gifts, parties, decorations, etc. and we were already too busy.  And did you notice that the Christmas decorations seem to get put out earlier each year.  I saw major department stores starting to put out Christmas decorations before Halloween.  I also attended two Christmas parties before Thanksgiving, because people are so booked and stressed during December, they just wanted to get them out of the way.

To stay out of stress, you need to prioritize things based on their importance to you.  Sometimes we get so caught up in doing tasks that we’ve always done, and they really don’t move us closer to our goals.  The tasks are just busy work that make us crazy or we are doing them out of obligation.    Ask yourself these questions:  Is this going to help me move towards my goals?  Is this important to me?

Always have the end in mind and you will know whether or not it passes the “important to me” test.  Other tips to stay out of stress for the holidays are:  exercise, eat right, rest when your body tells you to, stay positive, look for the good in others, be grateful for all your blessings and celebrate your life.

Be safe as you travel this holiday season - starting with Thanksgiving!
